Reading

How to build a better reading habit with print

Reading more does not require a complicated system. It usually requires making the next page easier to reach and the competing distraction slightly harder to access.

How to build a better reading habit with print

Keep one issue visible

Put the magazine where the reading moment actually happens: beside the sofa, at the kitchen table or in your bag.

Read one section, not the whole issue

A ten-minute reading block is enough. Finishing one article creates momentum without turning leisure into homework.

Use the table of contents as a menu

Skip what does not interest you. A magazine is designed for selective reading, and there is no prize for reading every page.

Create a simple “current issue” rule

Keep only one or two active issues in your immediate reading space. Move the rest to a shelf or recycle them.

Make print the default for one daily break

If one coffee, lunch or evening break becomes screen-free, a reading habit can form naturally around it.
